Early Field Set for World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico

October 30, 2026 - 22:27

The PGA Tour has released the initial field for the World Wide Technology Championship, set to be played at El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos, Mexico. The event, part of the FedExCup Fall schedule, will bring a mix of established tour winners and players fighting for position as the season winds down.

El Cardonal, a Tiger Woods design, offers a wide, forgiving layout with generous fairways and large greens, though coastal winds can quickly change the scoring conditions. Players who manage the breeze and take advantage of scoring chances on the par fives should find themselves near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.

The field features several international players with strong records in Mexico and a group of younger tour members looking to secure status for the following season. For many entrants, the week represents a crucial opportunity to collect points and prize money before the final events of the fall.

Tournament organizers expect a competitive week in Los Cabos, with the resort setting providing a relaxed atmosphere for players and spectators alike. The full field will be finalized closer to the event, with alternates and sponsor exemptions still to be confirmed.
