Digitalage is moving to commercialize its AI-assisted moderation technology, with the company preparing its first enterprise-licensing candidate while also planning a launch aimed at creator platforms.
The effort is being led in part by Robert T. Braun, a former Nokia licensing executive who has joined the company's push into the enterprise market. Braun is expected to bring experience from large-scale technology licensing deals to a business that is seeking to position its moderation tools as a scalable solution for platforms dealing with growing content volumes.
Digitalage's technology is designed to support content moderation workflows by combining automated analysis with human oversight. The company has framed the approach as a way to help platforms manage moderation costs and response times without abandoning human judgment on complex or sensitive decisions.
The enterprise licensing plan marks a shift toward selling the technology directly to larger organizations rather than relying solely on its own platform products. The first licensing candidate is expected to serve as a template for future deals, according to people familiar with the strategy.
Braun's arrival comes as the company prepares to present its plans alongside other industry figures at the IAM Live event, where licensing and intellectual property strategies are a central focus. His background in patent and technology licensing is seen as relevant to a business that intends to build a portfolio of enterprise agreements around its moderation tools.
The creator-platform launch is planned as a separate initiative, aimed at smaller publishers and individual creators who need moderation support but lack the resources of large enterprises. Digitalage has not disclosed a timeline for either the licensing deal or the platform launch.
The company's dual approach reflects a broader trend in the moderation technology sector, where vendors are trying to serve both large platforms with complex compliance needs and smaller operators looking for accessible tools. Digitalage is betting that its AI-assisted model can scale across both markets while keeping human review at the center of the process.
