The JRT Foundation has officially opened the Jerry R. Tugade Technology Hub, a facility designed to give local students better access to digital tools and hands-on training. Along with the launch, the foundation donated 20 complete sets of desktop computers to support the new center.
The hub aims to help learners in Bulacan build practical skills in computing, coding, and other tech related fields. Organizers said many students in the area still lack reliable access to working devices, which limits what they can learn inside and outside the classroom. The donated units are expected to serve as shared resources for training sessions, workshops, and daily practice.
Local educators welcomed the project, noting that access to modern equipment can open doors to scholarships and future jobs in the growing technology sector. The foundation said it plans to keep supporting the hub through maintenance and additional programs.
Community members described the initiative as a meaningful step toward closing the digital divide for young people in the province. The technology hub will begin accepting students in the coming weeks, with schedules to be announced by the foundation and its partner schools.
