Oak View Group, the global venue and live entertainment infrastructure company, has named BIG Digital its preferred partner for portable fan engagement technology across North America. The move signals a broader push by OVG to modernize the in-arena experience without requiring major structural overhauls at its properties.
BIG Digital specializes in mobile and handheld interactive solutions, including fan-facing devices that can be deployed in seating bowls, concourses, and premium clubs. Under the new agreement, OVG venues will get early access to BIG Digital's hardware and software platform, which is designed to boost real-time interaction during games, concerts, and special events. That includes features like live polling, augmented reality overlays, and direct-to-seat ordering, all managed through a lightweight portable system.
The partnership is not exclusive, but it does give BIG Digital a strong foothold in OVG's portfolio, which includes climate-controlled arenas, amphitheaters, and other major venues across the U.S. and Canada. For OVG, the deal is about flexibility. Portable tech can be tested at one venue, then scaled or moved to another based on demand, avoiding the cost and downtime of permanent installations.
Industry watchers see this as a practical step. Many venues are still figuring out how to integrate digital tools without alienating fans who prefer a traditional game-day experience. By working with a single preferred vendor, OVG can standardize training, maintenance, and data collection while still allowing each property to customize how the tech is used. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
