SunTrax campus expands to include air technology

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Florida Governor Ron DeSantis paid a visit to SunTrax on Monday, marking the official expansion of the facility's focus beyond ground-based transportation. The campus, already known as the state's top hub for testing connected and autonomous vehicles, is now adding a dedicated air technology component. This move positions SunTrax to support the development of drones, air taxis, and other vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The new air technology segment will allow researchers and private companies to test unmanned aerial systems in a controlled environment.
