Continental Tennis Center Upgrades Streaming With USTA Grant

The United States Tennis Association has awarded a $6,600 Tennis Venue Services grant to the David Ensignia Tennis Academy. The funding will support live streaming technology at the Continental Tennis Center, giving players and families new ways to follow matches as they happen.

The grant program is designed to help tennis facilities improve their infrastructure and expand access to the sport. At the Continental Tennis Center, the money will go toward cameras, mounting equipment, and the software needed to broadcast matches over the internet. Once installed, the system will allow tournaments, league play, and casual matches to reach audiences who cannot attend in person.

Coaches and players are expected to benefit as well. Recorded footage gives athletes a chance to review their technique, spot patterns in their play, and track progress over time. Parents, college recruiters, and fans who live far from the courts will be able to watch live from any device.

The academy has not announced a specific installation date, but work is expected to begin in the coming months. Staff members say the upgrade reflects a broader push to modernize community tennis facilities and make the sport more accessible to a wider audience.
